Its my belief that everyone has a monetary value at which they will ditch their principles, be they genuinely held or just virtue signalling. Henderson's is clearly somewhere less than £700,000 a week, and my suspicion is that his wearing of the rainbow armband was the latter.

I don't suppose he gives a flying ****! But the obscene wages being paid are a disgrace really. I'd have thought that at half a million quid a month he would be financially secure to be able to stick to principles, but obviously not, so nothing but contempt for him ad the others, none of whom actually need the dosh they have gone there for.

In his/their defence, and its a fairly weak defence, they are at least demonstrably the best at what they do. I'd argue that the pay and bonusses received by the heads of 'businesses' to which we are entrapped (utility companies for instance but not just them) are more deserving of our disdain, not just for the absolute numbers but the fact that they are seen (often by members of their own inner circle) to be 'worth it' based on 'their unique skills' when in fact there are dozens/hundreds of people in the same organisation equally as capable. Yes I have seen such appointments at close quarters (from a long way down the org chart so no jealousy involved), maybe you have
