    Our squad wages

I thought the link below was interesting.

I think this more clearly represents what we pay our players in recent times.

Zohorre’s wage will put some of you off your next meal so maybe eat before reading.

Interesting reading. Good job Albrighton's half season loan has passed! Shows the great discrepancies in pay doesn't it? The problem is that paying so much for some doesn't leave much wriggle room to pay others lower down on the pay scale who may deserve more reward for their efforts. Not like you can reduce the salaries of those underperforming to do so. As discussed on previous posts, it's a pity that some kind of lower base salary scale can't be introduced that could then be topped up by performance related bonuses and and injuries would be only paid at the higher rate for a limited time as is the case for most "real" world CSP schemes.

Albrighton or whatever his name...is he still here? I thought he was a filler for the last season.
Sorry guys for football that just looks ridiculous compared to other professions. Yeah, I know it's the market and all that but fcuk, it still just a football game.
You can see why society is on the verge of rioting when you read that list. I find it quite nauseating as I set off out on my bike to go to work at 06:00 for a 13 hour shift.
Honestly Mick football to me is dead. Like the banter here but in away in years to come will see these silly wages as part of all that is wrong in world society and led to it's change.
Basketball etc....golf, and on it goes while doctors, firemen etc still have to endure the wrought of society when they strike for a decent living wage after years of training that remains ongoing for the rest of there careers.
These kind of figures are what depress people today, if you let them get to you.
A fcuking disgrace is what this represents, nothing less.
Have a great day everybody earning your pennies. Hopefully it will be well earned in your own way.
    Right on me bike...

It is shocking, there is no getting away from that at all. It is the market place I guess, if you don’t pay those sorts of wages then i’d assume the club would not be an attractive option for players.

The length of a footballers career has to be taken into account but when you are on million plus a year, you wouldn’t have to work for long to be fair. The game has certainly gone mad and it is no wonder more and more football clubs are struggling to survive.

So which link's correct? This one where Reach is on £23Kpw or the one you posted the other day where Reach was on £40Kpw? Either way whoever sanctioned either amount must have been on fkn crack 🤣 .

    Don’t shoot the messenger 68.

Both may be wrong, I think this one is nearer the mark though.

So David button is on quite a bit more than the likes of Pieters and Molumby. Considering their contributions last season it doesn’t make much sense does it.

Yup. A standard rate plus performance related bonuses makes far more sense. Standard rate for older players, younger players, with add ons that you have actually EARNED by your shown commitment.
