In truth Kriti to a point I think that’s right but I don’t think Dyche had the network or skills to attract players at the right money, not a criticism of Dyche but he wasn’t responsible for bringing what I would call players to develop and sell on.

His philosophy was different he liked British players who could play a bit but were workers VK has the advantage I think of being an icon in the game firstly but also not long finished playing so potentially relationships with younger players across the Prem - and in Belgium/ France and Holland which has obviously Paid dividends up to press.

There is no guarantee VK will succeed even now and Dyche may better him with survival in the premiership, somehow I don’t think Sean would have pushed us on if he had the same funds as we’d probably have spent 30 million on a overpriced British player instead of getting 4/5 for that price and developing them.

I know which style of football I prefer , but each to their own - survival in the big league is everything
