I am more concerned with our midfield or rather lack of it. With Cullen out injured we were nowhere near good enough, Cork looks to be OK but is too slow and looking at the new edict to referees he will receive many yellow cards.

Yesterday, I think the experiment of playing Robets on the left hand side failed, Taylor is the best left back at the club, defensively he was better than Maatsen last season.

I've said it a million times before V_C, for whatever reason VK does not rate Taylor at left-back which is all the more puzzling seeing Maatsen is still at Chelsea.

I will be charitable and say perhaps a couple of seasons in the Championship with a different team (just like Barnes has) might be his best option.

That leaves us with the square root of **** all in the toughest league in the world.
I’m still not writing foster off yet - not to be pedantic either

I feel after watching yesterday that we have next to zero service for any front man at the minute - it’s a conundrum that Vincent has to solve - I know myself from playing in Germany that if you don’t keep the ball and look after it when you get it - German teams will run you to death ( you end up doing a lot of chasing and they catch you quickly - just like us yesterday).

Hard as it is to say you can’t play somewhere like there with weaknesses as they’ll find you out - ie JBG catching people and kicking them tells me just like myself and that point in my career play at a lower level or retire gracefully- I did.

Dakhil at full back didn’t work he was lost position wise - he didn’t like it at all and they exposed that

Brownhill was lost no identity in the game

    Redmond was a positive
    Koleosho def positive
    Amdouni positive
    Beyer positive

After that , mediocre was the order of the day

I’d guess we need a midfield addition at least and some better organisation- to me we looked all over the place.

I posted a starting eleven for the City game army88 but in truth I really have no idea what our strongest possible team is. We look woefully short in the middle of the park and only God knows how we are going to score goals unless VK is relying on set pieces?

I will add one comment before the doom and gloom takes over completely

Costelloe - one clear cut chance, straight at the goalkeeper
Twine - one good chance, dragged it wide
    Foster - no chances
JayRod - one half chance and scored (controversially offside).

Whatever one says about JayRod, he knows where the goal is!
