We will I assume have asked the referee for clarification. Would be good to know. It wasn’t violent conduct or lack of control in the tackle surely.

My take on it was studs up & followed through with trailing leg.

I've watched the replay several times and still can't make my mind up if it was even a foul.
Cafu won the ball cleanly though he was off the ground. No studs showing but trailing leg. Only the ref will know why he produced the card so quickly. Did he not realise he had produced the yellow for cafu before?. Did he do it for picking the ball up. Was it decent?

Just seen from a different angle, he did get card out after picking ball up but if that’s his reason then he needs talking to because you can clearly see Cafu is saying he got the ball

It’ll be in his report but I don’t see why he can’t be interviewed after game and take some questions, might be beneficial seeing that they’re trying to stop the abuse they receive but then again they don’t want to admit if they get it wrong.

I’ve seen it from a few angles and imo I can see why he might give a foul in real time with the tempo of it but it’s not a yellow card offence
Surprised he didn’t send Rathbone off either for falling over said player.

At end of day he’s got a few things wrong which he needs to take on board but guaranteed that won’t happen and he’ll be one of the reasons the officials will get abused
