How can a sensible thread about cash turnstiles end up being hijacked into one about posties.

Islay can change any thread into a discussion on any subject he chooses without blinking an eye.

This one's unusual really because normally he'll move a thread on any other subject to a discussion on cash turnstiles - he must be diversifying.

Apologies for falling into the trap. Trouble is everyone else says that PATG will never happen because Nelms never changes his mind. Everyone knows that an old school PATG would be a success, even Nelms knows this BUT its success might provide a reason for some to move away from ST down ST sales, and anything that might threaten this must be blocked. Any ST purchase means that regardless of when the game is played, what the weather is like the ST holder is paying. People might start looking at exactly how 0 games they attend each season. A ST might actually provide value for money for people with shift patterns and other influences on their ability to attend. PATG can cost for an OAP 4x20 +14×16=£308. The ST for an OAP sold at the £280. That's a saving of £28, or miss 2 games and you are out of pocket.
I know these numbers are probably only a small consideration for most ST holders but when times are hard and there is a viable PATG option this could be enough to move away from ST holder to PATG. Also Islay, like me, is not an ST holder so making it easy for us to turn up and PATG is a personal preference.
