That should shake up the contract talks with Rathbone and Wiles!

As promised I have come on here to apologise thought this deal had fallen through I should have more faith
Welcome CT (that’s my name for him anyway)!theres enough pressure on him as it is what with his name and a record fee to boot
What a strange world we live in when a guy that wants to work (if you can call it that) has to jump through so many hoops to do so yet you can hop on a boat from Calais and you’re sorted with accommodation new phones healthcare but that’s for another day

A bit of clarity on why the deal has taken so long. CT signed on loan for Wigan last Jan with an agreement that he would move permanently to Wigan in the summer for a fee of 990,000 Euros if Wigan maintained their Championship status. A work visa was granted on this basis.
When Wigan got relegated Rotherham moved in and took over the deal and negotiated a slightly lower fee. There was no expectation that there would be a work visa problem as he had already got one. However, I am told the home office refused the upgrade to the existing work visa and said the existing work visa was no longer valid and a new application was required. Hence the delays.

No, we don't like that explanation, it's too boring. We prefer to catastrophise and have a go at the club. Completely without foundation of course, but when has that ever mattered.

Thank Christ he's here. Perhaps he can perform a few miracles like avoiding a soon to be apologised for Yellow card!

    Welcome CT.
