Trying to fix something that’s not broken, just bruised with all the namby pamby stuff of today. It’s a man’s game. Innit.

A lot of the cards now are for trying to slow the game down, and good on the powers that be for at last trying to do something about it. We will all remember what Wycombe did to us when they came here the other year with what is called game management and all teams, us included, have slowed games down once we got in front or just to stop the momentum of the opposition, to the total frustration of the other teams supporters.
My main gripe at the moment is the inconsistency of the referees, and we have now had 2 players sent off in 2 league games for 2 yellow cards and recieved an apology from the referees as one of the cards in both instances shouldnt have been given but that made the injustice worse as yellow cards cannot be challenged and overturned.
Players will have to learn quickly that they can now receive a yellow card for things they have taken for granted, and I hope that this initiative to keep the game flowing more will carry on and referees dont just eventually go back to allowing the flow of the game to be disrupted, which has happened in seasons gone by after an initial early season of clamping down on new rules, and I personally am all in favour of it. Would the refs have been better off targeting the blatant cheating that goes on at corners such as bear hugging, holding players down and pulling shirts

They seem to have gone all absurd rather than sensible

Yellow for time wasting but many fouls go unnoticed

    Laughable

I definitely agree with you there flour, at one time maybe 2 seasons ago referees, with the help of VAR, targeted holding at set pieces but now they seem to allow any kind of holding and regularly give fouls to the defending team when all the attacker was doing was trying to get free of the defender. Damned if they do. Damned if they don't springs to mind.
Yeh can't moan about teams like Wycombe then blame refs for trying to combat teams like Wycombe.
Give em time. You will either get used to is or find something else to moan about.

Killing it softly with new guidelines! If players like Norman Hunter Bremner Tommy Smith Chopper Harris etc... were playing today they would hardly get on the pitch they'd be suspended nearly all the time!
