    Bruno

Replied on line to fans criticism of himself and the team over their loss to Citeh.

In the past 18 month we have gone from fighting relegation to qualifying for the Champions League. Now some fans are complaining about a loss to perhaps the Worlds best team.
Have they got a poor memory.

He has since removed his comments but I can tell he is really annoyed at some of our supporters.

Honestly some of our 'fans' need to give their heads a wobble, Bruno wasn't a happy chappy at all.
No doubt the rags will make a huge meal out of it and try to unsettle him.
I'm not on ****ter I've just been sent a screenshot of his reaction, but he seemed well p1ssed off ....

He certainly did! Sportspersons no matter what sport they play, are always going to be prone to criticism, it comes with the territory as they say. It’s not so much the criticism it’s how it’s delivered, Eddie Howe will criticise as he has done recently, but it’s the manner of it, Eddie is very diplomatic and sensitive towards his players, but he’s entitled to criticise I believe. I haven’t seen the tweet so can’t comment, but we have our share of Johnny come latelys who live in an unreal world, expecting perfection with no hiccups, doesn’t happen. Supporters are entitled to their opinions, which might not always be popular, and I’m not defending this person at all,I’m sure Bruno will have faced this before and will get over it, if it was aimed at him. Onwards and upwards lads!

No matter what, if you are a sensitive and touchy person, who happens to be a very public person, and is someone who takes things to the heart, you probably shouldn't be on X (Twitter).

Not defending the platform or the tone or the amount of criticism, just saying that it's impossible to avoid it on there. Would probably be better for a lot of people not to be on that platform. Mostly it's just noise anyway.

Never underestimate the lack of footballing knowledge amongst most fans, including ours (which is more knowledgable than most).

I think people criticising the team for losing to City need their head examined.

However, and I’m gonna stick my head above the parapet here, I think (and said after the game (in the reflections post)) Bruno has not met his own high standards both games so far this season.

    My worry is why not…

His ankle injury he finished the season with (but no picked up mid Jan) not sorted?

    A new niggle/injury?

His on-going contract discussions affecting his mindset on the pitch?

I’m not gonna apologise for pointing out he isn’t at his best, and honestly hasn’t been for a long time due to the ankle injury he picked up.

For context, I think he is the kind of player we need to be building our future team around, at his best he is amazing and had the passion and drive to go with that ability… but he has been noticeably off the boil last couple of games, and I don’t think there is anything wrong in pointing that out constructively when there are genuine concerns.

As the team gets stronger fans will have new favourites,if our old favourites lose form or are overtaken by more skilful players there will be some criticism but players don't become bad overnight.

    Cat among pigeons time...

Fella I was talking to anout Bruno the other day suggested a theory. His line of thinking was that Pacqueta is Bruno's best mate and that there was a good chance they'd talked about the yellow card betting scam and maybe Bruno has a piece of the action and is worried...

Lots and lots of ifs and buts in there and don't believe that's the case myself...but it did make me stop walking for a moment and do a Scooby Doo 'hurh?'
