    Ramsay has signed

I think this is great news. Things are looking up after a period of frustration.

I don’t get the relief or excitement about this signing. Do you reckon he is strengthening our squad for this season? Is a relief about us signing a central midfielder, or a belief that we will cash in big time in 2-3 years time?

Two things Vinni has said Will, almost two weeks ago he said this deal was virtually done and dusted, then it went quiet, 12 days of silence with the obvious worry that the deal might be off. The other thing he said was that this lad is a future England international. I take anything Mr Kompany says seriously, he doesn't waste words, and I believe that when he says something like that he means it. So for me it's both relief and excitement that a future England international has signed for us and the deal has not fallen through.

    I'd still rather have Haaland.

Did you see him against Newcastle ? Couldn't have hit a barn door from six foot, Bashley would have had a hat trick with the chances he had. Useless, feckin waster.

I also still think we should have hung onto Bash for at least a season.

Never mind Bash, we still haven't replaced John Deary, maybe Ramsey will be the one ?

Ramsey signing ...Does this mean Brownhill will be offloaded now?

Good question, alfin. Big question marks now over some players - Cork, Brownhill, JGB.

Cullen has signed. We have Berge and now Ramsey. To me me it looks like some serious continuity planning, moving away from having to rely on an aging squad like SD had to do.

As VK said, the team will only get better. I do believe that. As long as we are 17th I will see the season and the team as a success.
