It’s a shame not every player’s name is as singable as ‘Jodi Jones’. As good as he is, it’s a bit unfair he’s got 2 really good songs and the likes of poor old Cedwyn don’t have any…

I thought he already had this one
To the tune of She's Electric by Oasis

    He's a Geordie
He came down south with McCauley
He wears number nine**** for Notts County
    And he's Cedwyn Scott

Can't see it catching on, but a praiseworthy effort.

    Here's one then;

Jodi Jones, steamin and a rollin.
Jodi Jones, you'll never have to guess.
When you hear, the singing from the Kop end.
It's Jodi with a rocket in the back of the net.

Anyone over 50? will know the tune.

I'm a bit scared to guess in Casey I've got it wrong.

Like it. Change the second line to "you never will forget" and you might be on to something.

Yeah, I like that. You could prob also change the "steamin and a rollin" for something of a more football type of terminology? But bear in mind it took me a full 30 secs to write that masterpiece, so go gentle.

    Casey Jones
    Steamin' and rollin'
    Casey Jones
    You never have to guess
When you hear the tootin' of the whistle
It's Casey at the throttle of the Cannonball Express

I think you have got the UK's 2024 entry for Eurovision. Can't fail
