Along with the Tiehi deal I think the club are fed up of players running down contracts and buggering off for nowt and when we do sell,we invariably find ourselves scrapping around for 'loose change' transfer fees by today's standards. I think they want to enter the 'big league' when it comes to speculating to accumulate. I hope they both work out,not just to keep us in the Championship but to ultimately bring a huge return on the investment.

Considering Barnsley's bid was in excess of £1million with add ons, I'd say we've done that considering we out bid them.

Seriously though, great signing by the club and hopefully a good investment. If Sam can get say 15 goals this season and next in this league (assuming we stay up) we'll have a striker coming into his peak and a real asset given the length of contract. I'd say pretty much the same for Christ Tiehi.
