I loved Nathan Tella's response when we went three up at the Turf. We (mostly) all hate b@stards.
OK then, it's not Blackburn players we hate, it's the fans, although the reception Blackburn players get from Burnley fans makes me wonder about that, but back to the original question. Why ? It's only a local football rivalry, which is natural enough, but hatred ?

And another supplementary for you, my mum and dad were Blackburn fans, should I have hated my own parents ? See what idiotic avenues this whole hatred thing leads us down ? It's a local rivalry, no more, no less, leave the nonsense to the morons mon ami, and be adult enough to admire the goal of the season from one of their players.

    You know it makes sense.

I'll probably get around to it sometime today, just to check if there are any more goals of the season amongst the 8.

We as Rishton school kids, came under Accrington, the best of us were sent to Accy Stanleys ground to train. But Accy had no cash to spend on a first team, never mind, any 2nd or 3rd teams, we were just 14 year old Rishton schoolboys. Les Cocker, if you remember him used to come and tell us to do some 'heading practice'. Really nothing else,( Conclusion).Don't let your kids be born in Rishton!!

I remember Les very well, got himself into the England set up, he's in the background of a lot of the 66 World Cup photos. I had an uncle who called me Cocker as a nickname, that was after Les, but I never knew just why.
