I'm not sure why pointing out that TFTY is laddo is an issue? However it has now become contentious has his old disciples seem to have taken offence to this revalation so let's nip this in the bud.It seems to be agreed by all that they are one and thd same, even TFTY hasn't denied it.The solution is simple as, it is not allowed in the rules to create a new account after being banned ergo shouldn't TFTY also be banned?
As someone who looks in every day I can honestly say that I have noticed little change in the board since Laddo's ban but then again I try to read the post rather than concentrate on the poster. Obviously you cannot help to recognise some posters because they post their own opinions on the same subject again & again, this was sometimes true of Laddo but he was by no means on his own, I was not about when he received his ban so cannot comment on whether it was warranted but I am thankful that Swale hasn't taken the easy option in the past & decimated the board by banning all the perpetrators as he could easily have done.
I think the many long(er) articulate posts are a great sign of confidence to voice opinions now they are less picked at can only be a good sign.
I too have looked in regularly on this board and like Notts, it is recently much improved.
I do sort of wish the re-emergence of bickering - even without said poster joining in - wasn't a thing though, just very dull and unnecessary. Better board by Miles though.
As someone who is interested in reading constructive contributions about Notts from all posters, but skips over the occasional outbreak of juvenile squabbling, I welcome thefulltenyards whether or not they are the poster formerly known as Laddo (TPFKAL). From what I have previously seen on here both Laddo in their former incarnation and those that regularly got drawn into the tedious squabbles with or about TPFKAL are more than capable of interesting and constructive posts about the football club that we all follow. In my view NCM is a much better place when posters stick to such constructive contributions about Notts and are respectful of others and their opinions. To use an old adage, sometimes it is better to let sleeping dogs lie than provoke them. Here's hoping that the board can continue to be a positive place to vist and reflect the current increase in positivity and hope surrounding the club as a whole!
