And people accuse us of never having a Plan B!!

We're in a bad place at the moment and have to work with what we have regardless of what brought us here.

The sooner Cafu is available, the better. Our composure and creativity in midfield are non-existent without him. This results in us failing to put together any meaningful attacks and giving the ball away cheaply, inviting more pressure.

Is it too much to hope that one of our sickbay ranger CBs will be fit to play alongside Blackett on Wednesday? Cardiff would not have scored their opener yesterday had a proper CB been marking their giant CF. Oh for the days when we could call on the services of Woody to fill a gap!

We've shown glimpses this season that we can compete with the best and we need to remember that rather than going into a lack of confidence spiral. A couple of miracles from our medical and physio teams are what we really need right now!

    What do people expect.

I'm sure given the chance Taylor wouldn't be signing 30 plus injury prone players

But you have to work with the budget you are given.

Yes we signed a million pound player but according to some articles we have cut the wage bill by 300k a year.

We are still massively underfunded for this league.

And was the bookies 2 or 3 favourite to go down.

There is absolutely no way we have cut the budget ! It’s not rocket science to work that one out !
Even if Morrison gets fit we had to substitute him in his only start at half time because he was that slow, so him getting fit won’t improve anything !

For MT to say we played well for an hour is a joke.

We’re not idiots we can see what’s happening on the pitch.
    Desperation springs to mind. .
I didn’t go yesterday so I’m guessing a bit on my thoughts here….
I thought he said best performance of the season up to conceding, not that it was a great performance
In other words we competed and defended reasonably well up to 55 minutes. Maybe he was right
We didn’t do enough to win it but maybe good enough to get a draw which we haven’t seen in any other away game
He did caveat by saying up to conceding and his comments weren’t meant to cover the full 95 mins

Smallest squad ? every team can register 25 players which we have !
You are so wrong read the rules it's 25 players plus club grown players, have a look at the actual squad sizes most teams are around 35 to 38 players.
We have a small academy set up and no under 21 or under 23 development teams (old reserve teams). That is a big part of the problem.

I agree with the sentiment of what you say here, TS has been at the club a long time now and our academy and youth development hasn't been able to produce any sort of production line of young players capable of play L1 nevermind championship football. This is a huge failing by the club, as these young player mean a reduction in wages, reduction in recruitment cost and are a source of revenue as well. I am sure we will get some on here that go into excuse mode and take the world is against us view, but we have to be honest and accept our failings and learn from them not find excuses why constantly failing at something is someone elses fault.

You don't get young players now like in the 70's when we got the likes of Breck Stancliffe Green Finny Crawford through to the 1st team set up. Young players would sooner play on their phone today. Think big clubs now put offers in we can't match to sign players even while they're at school. Not knocking TS for that that's what it is today we can only put so much of the budget into the youth set up. Sooner that than reduce the 1st team squad budget for that.

I look forward to each and every home game. I doth my cap to anyone that bothers with away trips. Cannon fodder when not at NYS.

That’s a good point. Thanks for clarifying
So I think what you are saying is that with the quality of our home grown talent none of them are really cship quality so we only have 25 to choose from, less injured players.
Whereas a club like Birmingham or Norwich might have 10 or so home grown players who could play at cship level.
So they have a squad of say 35 to choose from whereas we’re picking from about 18 -25 depending on the walking wounded
That’s a big gap in available resources
