Thread: Tory's

  1. #21
Sunak was lying about his intentions on HS2 while all the while selling off parcels of land to ensure HS2 really is dead in the water.

13 years the Tories have been playing fast and loose with the "Northern Powerhouse", l will now refer to to it as the "Northern Powerless".

Sunak has just salted the earth to ruin any opportunity for the project to be reinstated by Labour but I'll bet the link between Old Oak Common and Euston gets completed sometime relatively soon.

What a set of duplicitous b@stards the Tories are.

Labour beware, duplicitous b@stards win elections, and the Tories are rising in the polls. And of course HS2 will run into Euston, why would it not ?

You spout some proper bollox at times mon ami, Labour have just won in Scotland. The Tories are dead in the water.

Just read that Sunak will insist on "private funding" to put HS2 into Euston. Could you make this $hit up. We have just spunked the thick end of $70 billion to go nowhere and now he wants private funding to finish a 6 mile link.

But obviously running into central London is the expensive bit, and Sunak wants to save taxpayer's money. He's sounding more like an election winner by the day.

I'm amazed the eejit is not trying to link it into the ultimate vanity project - The Queen Elizabeth Line, the cost of which would have sorted out the North of England's rail structure for the next 50 years.

The Tories are going to sort the North's rail structure, with the White Elephant money, they're even going to keep Sub happy by spending some money on the A1 in Northumberland. At long last they're starting to act like a party that wants to remain in power, and that is one thing they have been good at in the past. It's still a long time to the next election, and as you and me know well mon ami, a week is a long time in politics.

They will have to get shut of Sunak if they have any aspirations in keeping in Number 10. But PLEASE let's not have another unelected Prime Minister.

We've never had an elected PM, we can only vote for an MP to represent the constituency, it's up to the Party that forms the government to decide on it's leader and thus PM. Come on mon ami, you should know all this, it's basic stuff. Who voted for the one-eyed Scottish lunatic to be PM for instance ?

Exactly mon ami. Liz Truss, Theresa May, Rishi & Brown and not a single vote from the hoi polloi between them. It stinks. We need electoral reform and quick.
