Sunak was lying about his intentions on HS2 while all the while selling off parcels of land to ensure HS2 really is dead in the water.

13 years the Tories have been playing fast and loose with the "Northern Powerhouse", l will now refer to to it as the "Northern Powerless".

Sunak has just salted the earth to ruin any opportunity for the project to be reinstated by Labour but I'll bet the link between Old Oak Common and Euston gets completed sometime relatively soon.

I'm amazed the eejit is not trying to link it into the ultimate vanity project - The Queen Elizabeth Line, the cost of which would have sorted out the North of England's rail structure for the next 50 years.

We've never had an elected PM, we can only vote for an MP to represent the constituency, it's up to the Party that forms the government to decide on it's leader and thus PM.
