Incredibly, it's of the 'something must be done' 'doesn't deserve the shirt' variety. Spoilt and entitled is too kind a way to describe it, it's unhinged really.
In my opinion it's not unhinged, a lot of it is a knee-jerk reaction when we aren't winning. I try to avoid it and be rational, but it's down to disappointment more than anything. It's the same at any club anywhere, it's because they care.

Just human nature - supporters and LW were pissed off that we nearly lost a game that we were in complete controll off, for no apparent reason
I see it as 2 points dropped, others may see it differently. But this game is over and we move on
Personally as i said on another post, we do not know whether this is a good point or not, i always look to see how the competition does in the same fixture, so far Wrexham have done the same 1-1
Its our away form that concerns me most, the losses to Sutton and Colchester are much worse for me, as our competitors will surely do better
    Anyway onwards to Mansfield

I struggle to understand how disappointment finds expression in such a scathing tone.

And then there's the selective scapegoating...2 guys who have to do the job of 1 and a half defenders because we play a back three, one who captained the club back into the football league and another who was the only one good enough to answer the call when the dream was about to be snuffed out. Two players essential to our playing style.
It seems to be something apart from disappointment and caring.

I thought those essential to our style of play were those that scored the three or four goals more than we concede?

Don't we play out from the back, with those players seeing more of the ball than anyone?

I don't struggle at all, in fact it's the way footy messageboards work. I don't know if you're one of those strange people who think it's weird to look at opposition forums, but if not surely you will have seen that it's not "only on NCM".

We all express ourselves differently, and very often the ones who moan the most are the ones who care the most.

Your selective quoting cut out selective scapegoating, so you misrepresent what I said.

Still, a wildly successful, nigh-on historic, set of players, catapulting us back up into the EFL, sitting on top of the league...some of the stuff you read on here would have you believe we're in the bottom half coming off a relegation. The scathing tone is baffling, I'll stand by that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely loving every minute of where we are. All I wanted before my time is up was for us to be the Oldest Football League Club in the World again. My wish has been granted, so anything else is a bonus. I'm not one of those who criticise, but I think those who do are misunderstood for the reasons I've already stated.

To sum it up, I think the ones who moan the most are often the ones who care the most.

    That's the spirit

I haven't disputed that, although it won't always be the case.

Where I'm coming from is asking whether the criticism is fair.

We can assume nobody at the club ever reads this tripe, so that's not an issue. But even so, other fans will see criticism as unfair, for reasons I've laid out, and pushback on it. That's a messageboard thing too. Would we want a board where posters just lay in negatively? Supporting and liking the team and the players, it's natural to respond when you see criticism as unfair, given the overall context.

Of course it isn't fair, given where we are it's blatantly unfair.

But if you're looking for fair, I think you're in the wrong place!
