Police have taped off St James Park at Exeter this morning after reports that a crime was committed there on Saturday afternoon. The visiting team, Barnsley FC, have been charged with the daylight robbery of three points.

Oxford, Peterborough and Portsmouth all looked to have a decent set of players when they came to Oakwell this season.

Just for balance. (Haven't used that phrase for a while.)

Let’s hope they have to tape off Kassam Stadium, The Weston Homes Stadium & Fratton Park further down the line. I’d say that would really put the cat amongst the pigeons. Funny old game.

Gillett Soccer Saturday “We are just going over to The Western Homes Stadium where Barnsley’s Dick Turpin scores a second with a lucky deflection which surely now puts the game to bed with only seconds to play.

With two stadium names like that they deserved to be taped off lol.

The Exeter result could have gone either way but it was hardly a smash n grab
Not like Blackpool did to us the previous Saturday
And we absolutely wiped the floor with Cambridge from the kick off
Ok we’re by no means anything like the finished article at the moment but i can see the steady progress
We have to remember we were a work in progress this time last season under duff
There’s Luca to come back and the league is definitely weaker this season
I will stick my neck out and say we will finish 2nd behind Pompey this season

The league is certainly weaker this season and that is the key here. Then again, we are weaker this season too with the back 3 being replaced by players who are unproven at this level. With this in mind, I could see us challenging the top 6 but automatic promotion I would say is unlikely.

You have to say that on paper, both Derby and Bolton are better equipped to challenge for autos along with Pompey than we are. They both have more experienced managers than we do. Oxford are likely to fall away as the season drags on because their squad isn't big enough imo.

For us to have a pop, our defence needs to gel very quickly. Also, our head coach needs to know his strongest XI sooner rather than later.
