Fair do's but they had more chances, more on target and missed a penno!

Didn't fully compete 1st half. They had more chances, I feel we had the better of them. The penalty? That going over was justice as the bloke tripped himself up with no white shirt within 4 yards.... awful decision.

Much better 2nd half. Enough chances in both halves to have got at least a point, possibly more.

Hourihane scored the winner and we lost.

Just seen a post match video on X. Fans inside the ground chanting "Paul Warne, your football is sh*t".

Hourihane got some stick from some Rams at the end of the game but went up to them for an 'exchange of views'! Fair do's to him. Allegedly PW left the pitch without the traditional thanks to the travelling fans. Seems like there's some unrest in the camp!

Are they wrong? They’re disappointed...consistently so...and the football we’ve seen since last season’s ‘purple patch’ - i.e. since last February - certainly hasn’t been very good.
We’re still reasonably close to the top six but only staying out of the bottom half of the league on goal difference and, just like last season, we’re now miles away from the top two both of whom, I think I’m right in saying, have managers more recently appointed that Paul Warne.
All the excuses in the world can’t disguise the fact that something isn’t right. What happens in the next seven days may, imo, determine PW’s future at Derby.

Based on his impact over the past season and a quarter he deserves it. The media (and some here) continue to laud him as the dead ball specialist so i must watch a different game every week, his dead ball performance is awful

From what I gather, CH was remonstrating with certain Derby fans and saying ‘we’re trying our best’. Fair play to him for fronting up, at least he went over to the fans, but it’s not the best of messages and, unsurprisingly, it didn’t seem to go down very well. Not sure I can remember a Derby captain being in that position before.

Him and his entourage have been ring fenced with 4 year deals, I don't see Clowes tipping up the readies to dump PW even if results aren't good enough. The atmosphere could get toxic if things don't improve and that might tip the balance but otherwise I reckon we can only hope PW finds some magic ingredient soon.

I don't like to see it, I know a lot don't rate hourihan, personally I think he's ok but even so still don't think hurling abuse is the right way to go about it, something about football fans and pack mentality that makes them think they have the right to behave in a way you would hope they don't in their every day lives.

Certain ‘football fans’, Sith. I agree with you, but very much doubt that you or I, your dad and most on here would have been ‘hurling abuse’, and many of those involved are probably the same as those who routinely make offensive gestures towards and hurl similar abuse at rival fans/players.
Doesn’t disguise the fact that there is something wrong though. Mac may well be right about the ‘four year deal’ thing and I certainly respect his point, but personally I doubt that any owner can afford to allow the disappointments of the last four months of last season and the first quarter of this to continue for much longer.
Let’s face it...many Derby managers - Arthur Cox, Jim Smith, Nigel Clough and Steve McClaren amongst them - have all ultimately bowed to pressure from disaffected fans, and at least two of them - possibly all four - achieved a great deal more than is currently the case.
