Think you are being a little harsh on the club. The job spec is very firmly couched in terms that emphasise the need to build relationships with external bodies 9the fan cohort, supporter organisations such as LUST, and act as conduit between them. Not sure "HR" would fit the bill there

If the post succeeds in passing to the club the feelings and concerns, suggestions and opportunities that supporters identify or have, and in passing back to those organisations and individuals, in a transparent and clearly communicated manner what and how the club response might or will be, then I for one consider it a good thing. Whether that will result in radical change is another matter, American entrepreneurs (which is what the 49-ers Enterprises organisation is basically) don't have a hugely positive record of success in "relationship management" with those who might have ideas that run contrary to theirs.
