As others have already said it was a great performance last night, let down only by the calamity in the bus station car park!
Midfield in particular were outstanding.
Rathbone and Viktor were outstanding and worth the entry fee alone.
Hugill had a cracking game.
Peltier was incredibly solid. Really held that back line down more so than Morrison in the first half.
I do wonder about the starting line up though. We looked so much better setup when Revan and Georgie were on the pitch... I still don't think the wide 4-3-3 is a 4-3-3 but more a 4-3-2-1 but Fred and Appiah aren't close enough to Hugill and our balls in seemingly came from Cafu and Rathbone.
It'd be nice for us to 5-3-2 when we have the center backs to do it with Dexter and Cohen playing just a head of a back 3 and being told to bomb on down with their pace.
We know Cafu can put some decent crosses in but what about that from Revan straight to Kelly, beautiful
Straight out of Ben Wiles text book that goal from Rathbone
Not much to add really because it's all been said. I don't think the first half was as bad as some are saying. We played some good stuff going forward and got some decent balls in the box. We were just missing that bite in attack because quite often Hugill, mostly due to his immense workrate, was dropping back to win balls in midfield. This led to a few times us pushing forward and whipping the ball in and Hugill was too far behind play. Fred missed an absolute sitter. It was still very much an open game going into the second, it just needed one of the sides to take momentum and control.
Which we did. But even in the second they had some chances and Viktor bailed us out a couple of times. On another night it could have gone badly wrong but it didn't and I think overall the result was fair.
Everybody played their part, good to see more people are noticing how good Bramall can be and the effort he puts in. Ollie and Viktor absolutely immense, Peltier turned back the years. Morrison was a lion for most of the game but made a couple of mistkes that had the blood pressure raised. Hugill, as mentioned, never stopped. Then there's Georgie Kelly, barely gets any game time but every time he comes on he makes something happen. Last two games he's made cameos but has been central to two goals being scored. I'd like to see him start more games, unless Taylor is purposely utilising him as an impact player to bring on late to help finish off games? Either way, the kid is a Millers legend in the making.

Kelly that goal I could have done that was no one marking him!, never be in starting 11. Like I said with the good away following Sunday hope we don't let their wide players have has much room as we did against Coventry.
