Open VAR comms will create 'unsafe' environment for referees - IFAB boss


What exactly is it this lot are so scared off - the referee imo has been let off the responsibility leash once already by the introduction of VAR but now live comms apparently will put referees In danger.
It’s ok for stockley park to hide in a booth Miles away with their own opinions but if we could all hear what they were saying the refs will be at risk.

The fact that Rugby seems to get 99% of decisions right by live comms and pictures has apparently scared football to death and imo they all want to hide instead of get things face on and improve the system.

At the moment it’s still a personal opinion and for me they’re getting away with it - all we’ve done is move the decisions a hundred miles away from the man in the middle on the pitch and give it to three goons arguing like we would be down the pub Saturday night.

With things as they are surely the bias would stop and be more transparent to everyone if they accept that decisions have to be right and made so outcomes are in their wording

Koleosho was having the shirt ripped from his body in the penalty box , Jay Rod was supposedly offside by the margin of his toenail, Berge denied a certain goal by handball. VAR is clearly and obviously not working.

Wasn't the game great when you went, watched the match, criticised the occasional mistake by the officials and players, went down the pub afterwards and argued the toss with other fans and then looked forward to the next match so that you could follow the same procedure.

With the introduction of VAR, the only talking point is whether or not VAR should have got involved ------and this goes on for weeks and months with reference to various incidents. However, you have to remember that it is all in the quest for those in charge of the game to be able to say that they have finally produced the 'perfect game of football'

army --who in their right mind would want a perfect game of football? Sadly, the quest will continue and it iwll only be a matter of time before those running the game will get rid of ARs on the line, being replaced by digital technology with automatic offside (like at Bournemouth on Saturday lol) and line technology. The game is going further and further down the digital trail and is becoming a total waste of money as far as anyone who enjoys football is concerned.
I have tickets for some games at the Turf this season, however, I still get more enjoyment watching local football at Ashington, even though they have only just started winning a few games after their promotion. I feel that I am watching a proper game of football that is no hindered by any outside interference at all and, although the crowd is around 500 on average, there is always a good atmosphere and goals are instantly celebrated.
