It might be worth considering if the only alternative was Harry Arter, (Magna Carta, what a farter, total non starter) coming back for a game. But it would be close.

Some folk need to calm down a bit. It was a suggestion that he could fill in during the cup games. Who knows that he doesn’t train…..go back to a LW interview where he said himself Harley could easily play, and still trains.

I'm not going to do your work for you. Just read the Matty Palmer and other threads to see at least 20 posters who came up with better ideas than the ridiculous suggestion of playing our coach Ryan Harley

Eh? I have to prove someone else’s suggestion that there are 20 other better options than my casual possible suggestion of trying Ryan Harley….that makes about as much sense as your match ratings 😂

Look, I’m not saying he’s the perfect answer, but a possible solution in bolstering numbers. I’ve countered the arguments for some of the perceived and, at the moment, mystery 20 better options….so I’ll wait for your other 15 or so other better alternatives. Just because you (who thinks Cameron is the best player in the team) and others think it’s not a good idea doesn’t make it a bad idea. I was referring to your tendency to always bring what everyone else thinks when deciding whether something is right or wrong, like numbers on your side of thinking means you are correct….I used Trump and Johnson as populist examples to illustrate how lop sided your logic is that just because three or four people agree with you on here that my suggestion is wrong…..and I am now angry and embarrassed at being made a fool of. I just see it as a desperate way to get people to side with you….a bit like a school playground bullying ring.

Alas, Message boards aren’t a massive part of my life, thankfully, and learned long ago to not get caught up in the generally mentality of football message boards in particular. I stand by suggesting that adding Harley to the ranks whilst suffering from a hellish injury crisis wouldn’t be a stupid idea…regardless of what some may think. I also still think Cameron doesn’t have the vision, strength or football intelligence to be a top defender at this level, I hope he changes my mind.

Regarding your comment about me requesting a change to a back four every week. I’ve been a massive advocate of LW, his team selections and our system as a whole. I love the way we play. I remember the ways of Thompson, Mills, Gudjon, and Nolan only too well. If I’ve suggested that a back four would, in some instances, sure up our leaky defence I can’t see the problem with that, and would still stand by that I think. With the players we have I think we could still play our fluid football whilst being stronger at the back……but to suggest I say I say that every week is nonsense.

Must admit that on Tuesday I'd select the tea ladies in defence, Harley and Williams in midfield, and Mark Stallard and Les Bradd up front.
