    OT/ Bangladesh

Timed out wicket due to a strap breaking on the helmet of the new Batsman coming in. Wasn’t ready by the 2 minute time allowance to get ready. First time there has been 2 wickets with just one ball! Not great sportsmanship from Bangladesh but it was the letter of the law.

Truly bizarre - never experienced this before but in a competition where teams are penalised for not completing their overs in a set time is possibly understandable; also why did he need a helmet to face spin?

Lots of questions. Cricket isn’t the laid back sport it used to be is it?

Ah, cricket, that quintessentially "English" game played in whites both in villages across the country and by young Victoria gentlemen in their public schools whose rules and standards of sporting conduct would go on to inform how they would help run the Empire. Well, that's the myth isn't with the beardy fella WG Grace increasing its popularity.

Personally, although my dad is a great fan, never really got into the game myself although I do remember watching players like Sobers, Lillie, Knott, Viv Richards and, later, Botham, Khan and then Tendulkar and Warne. I'm sure there are many more greats I missed but as a non follower even I can see how much cricket has changed over the years. Is the evolution of the sport a good thing? As with football and boxing maybe not always.

Scandalous, there is such a thing called ‘The spirit of the game’ Bangladesh should be thoroughly ashamed

Lots of questions and you only come up with one. Disappointed beyond belief. Imagine my general disdain if I actually gave a brown swirly thing about cricket 😃 .
