    Bit more here.

In early 2018, owner John Radford announced a business proposal to establish a six-floor hotel at the club's stadium, in part replacing the existing Quarry Lane end infrastructure, in conjunction with an international brand.[29] No formal planning application had been submitted to Mansfield District Council at the time of discussions at the club's ground,[30] but a later application was authorised by the council in July 2018.[31]

It's odd that we ended up taking a sizeable chunk of that area. The council might have just handed it to us, but I'd assume we had to pay for it or that we already owned enough of those houses to use as a bargaining tool.
From the aerial photos it looks like the back yards of the houses were right up against the main stand but there probably was an alley way between. A report on the Man Utd riot in 75 mentions supporters being showered with glass from 30 feet above as they left the ground via an alley, so that must have been down the back of that stand.

We have never owned the land, always leased from the Council.

Ooooh a hotel in Mansfield. Because every time I go there, I wish I could stay longer.

Bloomfield Road capacity is just over 17k while they average arond 11.5k. It's not like they sell out every week and need the extra seats for extra revenue!!!

You can't see an alley from that angle, but I'd imagine that if you turned left off Meadow Lane into the houses and then first right between the 2nd and 3rd row of houses, you'd be facing some turnstiles into the main stand with people queueing directly outside the front windows and doors of the houses (if it was busy) before the street turned left at the corner to a dead end. Walking all the way up to the stand, you could then turn left into the entrance of the alley to take you to the far end of the stand and maybe to the Kop also, with back yard fencing to your left and the back of the main stand on your right.

I wonder if that tree between what is now the Family Stand and Pavis is THE tree that's still there outside the gates.

I think it is and the one behind it was the one inside the main gates until a few years ago when it was taken down. They were both "mature" trees, where else could they possibly have come from?

    Absolutely disgraceful.
I can only wish bad things for Blackpool FC now. Hope they go bust
