I think Howe got the tactics wrong tonight btw. I really do.

J7 upfront was a bad move. We needed him in midfield. I'm going off Longstaff again too. Not good enough.
And what would you have done tonight with the players at his disposal, oh wonderful one?

Packed the midfield. Gordon on his own up top. Hope to nick a goal. Have Willock and Almiron breaking whenever we can. Livramento should have probably started.

I'd have played our star Italian summer signing...oh wait!

We've just been outyplayed by Bournemouth....again. Howe deserves criticism sometimes.

But as i said before, i go back to our summer transfers. it wasn't enough. Tonali and Barnes were a mistake.

I agree we were left light, especially up front.

Tonali and Barnes, however...that's only in hindsight. Barnes' stats put him ahead of the player he was replacing, Maxi, and Tonali was Milan's star player and most were delighted we'd bought him (in fairness to you, I think you were unsure to start with.

If Barnes had stayed fit and Tonali...well, ahem, cough....well, you know...you could have been thinking differently.

I was actually pleased with Tonali and Barnes at first. The reason i mention barnes is because i was watching us play Dortmund recently and thought Barnes would make no difference to this game.

Roundly and soundly beaten. No complaints. Bitterly disappointed.
The only player who comes out with any credit is Pope. Without him we lose 4-0.
