....and has never FAILED to deliver....has 6 promotions under his belt....never been liked by many a Millers fan but for me he ticks all the boxes.
Now the negatives......never got on with Paul Douglas.....also Warney but he's left anyway....Richard Stewart which I feel is the biggest stumbling block on him returning and finally big Tony won't be has generous as last time with the budget when he was last here..
We had one lol..woody..who Taylor got rid of..ok, slow but organized..fair enough, knocking on a bit, yesterday, Chelsea v man city , Tiago Silva played and scored, aged 39..woody could well have been our new player manager kept it in continuity, at the club he knows, and how it works, probably at a bargain price..I honestly think woody was shoved out..
Struggling to get in a team two divisions below us and doesn't have his coaching qualifications so other than making him a demeaning offer to make the tea where would he have fitted in? If TS thought he was up to the job he would have probably offered him something before appointing MT.
It was well known that Sir Richard had the command and respect of the changing room, this wasn't on for Taylor as HE needed to be in charge. The clash of personalities was too much for Taylor and along came Sir Richard's demise.
Taylor also brought in players he thought were better than Woody and we all know how that's turned out. Not saying though Woody wasn't at the end of his career but, with all his knowledge of the club, I'm sure a defensive coaching role could have been sought for him. No, Taylor let us all know Woody had yet to take his coaching badge so he had a more qualified person coming in????
Suffice to say it's not quite worked out for Woody at Donny and now he's out injured, probably for the first time in a long time.
Would be nice to see him return in some coaching capacity but sentiment shouldn't be the answer. He'd have to earn that and apply if such a role came up.
