MT deserved more time to see his vision through. I feel really sorry for the bloke and hope he gets fixed up soon. What happens if the new fella fails to keep us up? I dread to think.

Call me Quasimodo if you want but this is the 7th manager sacking instigated by TS and I have a hunch it might be one we live to regret.

Eyup Quasi, not sure what TS expects. I think MT's plans were long term and TS is looking for a quick fix.

Nah! Taylor masterminded the utterly disgraceful performances against Wednesday and Watford. His tactics, his motivation (or lack of it). Tony was a hundred percent right to send him on his way.

It's funny Tigerish because in one sense I agree with you but I can also see where CAM and Sota are coming from as well. Firstly MT has so many good qualities. He's driven,a workaholic and I honestly believe he will find success. He got Exeter promoted on a shoe string so he motivated that squad, that's for sure. I just felt from day 1 that he was always playing with a wet bar of soap because of the constant ever moving injury crisis. He never got the chance of implementing what he wanted. It is from that point of view why we MAY come to regret sacking him.I made a point on another post that whoever takes over, the odds are still highly in favour of us being in League 1 next season and MT would have been a great manager to have in that situation.

Last season MT seemed to have cracked our away game shortcomings
Wins at Stoke and SUFC coupled with some dreadful refereeing decisions and a lack of composure could and should have seen us with more wins at Burnley, Luton and Coventry
Potential Wins away at all of the teams who got promoted plus the strongest playoff contender is very impressive

All if buts, maybes, ciudda wuddas but we showed we had it in us and we seemed to have the foundation to move forward

Unfortunately we,ve lost our best players in Chieo, Laser and arguably Wiles on his day who haven’t been replaced. Chieo,s contribution of pulling the opposition out of shape cannot be underestimated. He was a real handful and the opposition knew it.

It’s a real shame with the MT situation. I really thought he’d moved us on in this league but events earlier this season that have been well documented elsewhere have led to his downfall

Tony was never going to give him time with the extra riches of Sky money on offer

I'm on record as saying he should have been given until Christmas, the thing or things that did for him were the no show at Hillsborough, quickly followed by the Watford result.
Take a step back and we're not far behind the teams above us,maybe the sacking was a snap reaction to these events.
If we'd lost to say,Blackburn instead of Wednesday, I'm sure Taylor would still have a job.

The next appointment has to be until the end of next season with a manager that could keep us up but otherwise has had L1 success

Your last sentence says it all really and suggests it actually was a knee-jerk reaction. I've already been criticised for saying that but, if someone can assure me that TS has well thought out plans for the club I'll be prepared to reconsider.
Just staying up is simply a hopeful objective by the way. We did that last year but have now sacked the manager who was credited with achieving that after only about a third of the season.

Back to Steve Evans, I've posted it before but for those who haven't seen it they might find it interesting. The video should start playing at the correct time.

Do we really want this again?

Wilder Eustace according to the advertiser won't be next manager. Evans if he takes the job & turns things round for January I was a fan last time he was here that will this would place him on legendary status!
