TS says he's flattered by the calibre of the applicants, although he said that last time as well. If he genuinely means that then Evans can't or shouldn't be the best/only option.

TS uses exactly the same phrases every time we're looking to employ a new manager.
I suspect the truth is considerably different.
One other point, if as is being suggested, Evans is the number one target then why hasn't the usual protocol been followed, ie seek permission to speak to him then if granted, make the appointment.
It's usually a very quick process but both Evans and Stevenage have said they know nothing about our "interest" (standard response I know).
Now we're being told there's no rush but we are flattered by the quality of applicants. OK TS, if you say so.

Bloody hell mate you will get hung posting that but it will wash over his fans. He is one of the most disliked men in football but that’s ok because he’s a winner.I don’t want him back. I posted that I didn’t like him before & I said I didn’t want to go anymore but I got I bet you enjoyed the ride.My answer then was I was a Miller for 50yrs before he came & I will be a Miller when he’s gone.I supported Rotherham not Evans.

Can you imagine players like Peltier,Morrison,Hall,Blackett,Cafu et al putting up with that! This isn't League 2 anymore with players fighting to climb the ladder.These are seasoned top level pros who've already earn't their coin!

MT got a lot of money from the Ampadu and Watkins signings not only for players but they've also massively upgraded their Cliff Hill training ground - I know I go there often. They've also spent money on SJP, Exeter was / is an attractive area to live and play football. Attracting players isn't such an issue.

MT was a bad error of judgement for Tony Stewart from day 1 and I knew it would be.

If it's Ainsworth or Evans, or some other L1 L2 manager I quit.

I won't get lied to about the ambition / reality of Rotherham United as that's what it amounts to.

I fear, and never thought I'd ever realise this, that we've seen the absolute top of where Rotherham United can ever be without a money bags foreign owner.

If we start a Championship season and after 10 games find ourselves in the play off spots, playing well and looking good you bet we'll lose the manager and our better players onto other clubs.. And back down we go.

Championship sustainability to me is fools gold sold by a very good and successful lighting salesman

from Rotterdam to Rotherham - Feyenoord won the league last season. If only we had an atmosphere like the one at De Kuip

Just been on a conference with someone who’s son is in the Man Utd academy. One of our players sons is in the same academy. They talk all the time and He was telling me that the player in question believed that MT would have succeeded long term and the players definitely wanted him to stay. I was saying that I thought some of the players downed tools. I can only go on what he told me but his conversations with the player said the total opposite. They thought eventually it would come good. They didn’t want him to go.
