Slocombe 7 - he's not the answer, he's not good enough to challenge at top end of League Two , one mistake but had no chance with the goals and saved us from a heavier defeat.
Cameron 5 - mixed bag. The starting on the right was a surprise and didn't work
Rawlinson 3 - sorry but no. Commitment is there obviously but clearly at fault for their first plus he showed the usual uncomfortableness in position and lack of pace and a poor touch a poor passing. Sorry but no more.
Brindley 6 - unlike most thought he was out best of a bad bunch at the back. Should knock off a point as he cost me predicting the correct score for the first time.
Jones 6 - got absolutely no change out of the fullback first half but certainly did second half. Hard to rate but will go with a 6.
Nemane 7.5 - our biggest threat. Better than JJ in first half and combining with Crowley second half was an absolute menace and did plenty of good work. Can't moan at him not talking on players today and lovely control, composure and finish.
O'Brien 4.5 - not awful but not good enough today. Just a little slow to the action.
Bostock 6.5 - don't blame him for the penalty , but blame him for another goal where he wasn't strong enough like against Mansfield. Did provide composure and structure and as usual makes the right pass so often.
Crowley 6 - Missing in action first half, second half they struggled to contain him so a 6.
    McGoldrick 4
Langstaff 6.5 - scored one with a clinical finish, missed one really good chance, and had one well saved.. Touched the ball once in the first half.
I’d go with this….but it was Bostock all day for their first penalty. Right in front of me, clear trip on their player, penalty all day long. Surprised nobody has mentioned their player getting away with a hand ball at the start of the second half though.

Oh it was definitely a trip and a penalty by Bostock I had a great view but the main fault was with Rawlinson for that goal. We had just got away with one seconds before thanks to a good save by Slocombe and the ball ends up with Rawlinson in the area with players around in and the obvious option to launch it. He tries a cute pass which puts his teammate in a bad position and the wrong side.

As for the penalty we should have had, at the time I could not believe the linesman did not give it. The referee was the wrong side but the player lent in to chest it and it got away from him. Bad miss by the officials as was the most blatant foul on Jones after he megged someone and got dumped. Ref played on.

    Can I give Luke Williams a 5.

I did wonder about the players focus before the game. All complimenting the Coach and his attention to details, but then
Cameron started on the right of the central defensive trio? LW then had to revert to the normal positions.

The second goal was caused by sloppy passing. Sam Slocombe's pass seemed to surprise JB, whose poor first touch set up Wimbledon. Luke's system does leave the team vulnerable if passes around the defense aren't accurate.

Also, what's happened with Stone? Wasn't he brought in to take the distribution from the keeper up a couple of notches?

The Management clearly know where adjustment's need to be made, I just hope we don't fall out of contention before these are made.

Slocombe either dropped / mis punched it.

Whatever it was it was absolutely crucial and lost us the game.

    He has to go

Simple answer is yes, but after a couple of promising games his distribution radar went completely off the chart and all that left us with is a goalkeeper whose actual goalkeeping skills are arguably less impressive than Sam Slocombe's.

On the evidence so far, Aidan Stone has to go down as one of our recruitment team's very rare 'misses'. Unlike Junior Morias and Will Randall, Stone doesn't really have the legitimate excuse/misfortune of an early injury to explain his slow start, so the bottom line is that he just hasn't been the significant improvement on Slocombe that we presumably hoped he would be.

I'd be interested to know how close Tiernan Brooks now is to being a legitimate first-team contender, because the guys ahead of him aren't doing a great deal to keep him (or the ball) out.

He did but was under huge pressure. You also need to consider the needless concession of the corner in the first place. We just needed to clear our lines and dicked around, giving them an easy set piece.

Slocombe kept us in the game first half so I think it's really unfair to single him out. He was one of the better players.
