I suppose no manager will want a relegation on his cv

The Rotherham job is too much of a challenge for most of them

Rovers had a 700k bid accepted by posh for Clarke Harris

So there money there and no relegation this season

Wow what a bunch of weak people, no belief in themselves the fear of failure so strong they prefer to be out of work. I thought people in professional sport wanted the hardest challenges to prove they are the best they can be, not sat at home annoying the wife and growing carrots. Managers that are like that we don’t want or need

Derby, not quite all your words but, I quoted something very similar to Rob Staton on dee dar radio some weeks ago. He actually said I'd raised a valid point but where do you go when they all lack 'moral fibre'. Cowards the lot of them.....had we been mid table they'd be falling oe'r themselves to have signed up.

Derby you have got this wrong. When managers get relieved of their duties these days they generally get put on the equivalent of garden leave for effectively the notice period that is in their contract, usually 12 months. So to take another job they have to either forgo their original salary for the rest of the notice period or usually via the PFA agree a compromise agreement which will take into account their new contract salary. The crucial thing is they need their original employer to play ball, I am told that Saints are playing hardball with Jones, hence why he has shown interest in the Wed, Rotherham and Brizzle Rovers jobs and none have gone anywhere.

The same contact who told me the above also believes Rowett cannot take a job until the end of January without Millwall's permission.

So maybe appointing a new manager is not as easy as some on here think.

Didn't quite happen that way when Warney left though did it?

Already said that we aren't going to be paying MT off then pay towards next managers pay off with another club. Richardson I'd make odds on favourite on that basis.

So who does the due diligence at our club?
If what your "contact" says is correct then all that information would have been readily available before prospective candidates were either approached or interviewed.
