I wonder how much EU money went into councillor's back pockets, regarding the tram, (can't think why they all love the EU so much). There's nothing like having a public transport system, that needs the majority to subsidise for the minority thar use it, after years of upheaval for commuters.
It must take some special people to lose money as a tourist attraction such as Nottingham Castle, with a cash cow such as Robin Hood to hand.
Anything that looks too good to be true, generally is, and public money shouldn't be gambled with, knowing that if it was successful, plenty of that money would have found it's way into back pockets, rather than benefitting the council tax payers.
