Yes. Went in one when I had a lumbar disc protrusion which affected my knee. Had to be totally still but my knee was pushed into a metal plate. Nearly went through the bloody roof.

When you say your knee was pushed into a metal plate, was that deliberate or an accident Nardendee? I dont quite know what you mean.

Ive had 3. Well 2 and a bit. I had a panic attack on the 3rd one and couldn't complete the scan. It all started from the 2nd one. I had a chest infection, coughed and it was stuck in my throat. I'm choking and pressing the button to come out. all the operator was saying is "almost finished, are you sure you want to come out". Bloke assistant must have seen and came rushing in, got me out and as I sat up coughed a flem ball at the glass window. Finished that one but couldn't do the 3rd.
Strangely since if I'm watching a movie or series and someone gets trapped in a boot or under ground I feel my chest tighten. Kill bill is my fav movie and when she gets buried Alive I have to go for a pee.

Sorry - no wasn’t deliberate at all. Should have said “felt like a metal plate”. It was referred pain from my back into my left knee so any contact I made with it when laid down was way above my pain tolerance and very difficult to keep still.

I had a brain tumour shrunk by gamma knife 11 years ago so I go for an MRI on my head every 12 months to make sure the little fecker isn’t growing again.
It used to be every 6 months.

40 minutes in an uncomfortable noisy tube once a year is a small price to for the miraculous treatment I’ve had by some genuine geniuses.

I have had a lot of MRI scans for my back & prostate, plus 3 MRI scans for my lungs.
But not been in the scanner for a 40-45 minute period.
