    I’d like to see this.

    ……………….Slocombe/ Stone (doesn’t matter!)

    Brindley………Baldwin…….Cameron…….Chick s

    ……………..Gosling/OB…..Bostock

    …………Jones………..Didzy………Crowley

    …………………………Macca
    I do like that

Likely we would have been embarrassed whichever turned up. Certainly some memorable defeats v Yeovil come to mind.

I think this discussion will go on all season as it did last season. We keep the ball in as much as poss and move it across the back line to try and shift the opposition around to create attacks and also wear out the opposition. The issue is it’s less tangible to say how many more goals this gives us but when it goes wrong it’s very tangible to see.

Yes, the mistakes in defence are more obvious (and potentialy more calamitous) than attacking mistakes and will always be a bone of contention. Think we all accept that, it's the complete pub team stuff that gets the goat.

Wrexham 3-0 up. Embarrassed or not, t'wud have been a few quid in the tin for the janny tranny?

That is probably the worst example of chicken and egg I have seen.

But....but....but..... if we did not make mistakes, cut out the f*#k ups and did not concede so many goals we would be top.

    More ground breaking stuff.

Every team bar one can say something similar. But not every team is only one point behind him.

What we all need is some sort of table for the league to indicate how well your team is doing to obviously include the important how many goals you concede. Oh and the rest.
