As a socialist, I would find him acceptable, but what about Andy Burnham as a better candidate for Labour?

He seemed to spend a lot of time holding his head up in that interview.

Do you really believe that protestors have been educated in the history of Palestine?

Do you think the people who elected Boris Johnson on the basis of not being a ‘typical, boring’ politician have learnt that it’s not a very good way of choosing a leader?

Another good one - he may still get his chance though. It is a shame that some of the most talented politicians are not in parliament, and an indictment of the current state of affairs.

There are probably at least 3 groups - those who have read the history of Palestine (and the wider region), those who just see the bodies of civilians piling up and think that is wrong, and there is also, probably, a fair sprinkling of trouble makers too. The Far Right protesters probably fall mainly into the latter group, which is why proportionally they have more arrests.

The real shame is that talented people do not go into politics. The are too sensible for that.

    I would prefer David Miliband.

The 'far right protestors' as you put it, Kent, have proportionally the most arrests, because of two tier policing. I didn't notice any Hamas supporters kettled and beaten with batons.
