    Wolves & Brownhill...

Surely he's worth more than £7 million?

Doesn't matter what he's worth, he goes for nowt in summer so Wolves have us over a barrel. Pope gone for £12 million, Tarkowski for nowt, now Brownhill for £7 million in January or nothing in summer. Does our allegedly astute owner really know what he's doing ? I'm not so sure.

If he won't sign an extension what are we supposed to do?

I suggest Mr Pace hires a couple of the IDF thugs to soften him up.

He will sign then and no mistake.

I think it’s us that has the option of 12 months not him - can’t work it out on here sometimes people slate him and say he’s not premiership class and yet West Ham and Wolves seem to want him and now we’re getting robbed at 7 million.

I keep reiterating that you do not play premiership football if your garbage it’s the best league in the world and whilst some players are better than others you have to be pretty special to play at this level.

Totally agree army, however, Josh will always be a scapegoat at Burnley for what ever happens. He is one of those players who, for whatever reason, the fans have never taken to, in spite of the fact that he will give you 100% every game.
He has started 12 league games this season and has scored 3 goals and has 2 assists but he is not good enough according to lots of our fans.

So we don't lose him in summer then Army, so no problem, he's our player for the next 18 months and Wolves can feck off. I hope that's the case anyway, we really cannot afford to lose him in January.

Well here goes. I like Brownhill a lot and want him to stay. If he goes, who do we get for 7 million or so?? Its a distraction from us needing to recruit in Jan for our survival etc that I would rather avoid. Do we not need a new Striker and an alternative at left back for a start?? Tell Wolves to take a hike!

The year optoin is that we can offer a new contract, however, should Josh not wish to sign he will literally be a free agent in July.
If he is not being offered what he, or more importantly his agent, want then he will leave for nothing. It could also be that he has picked up the vibe that the fans don't want him here so he will not wish to sign ----who knows?
If Wolves or West Ham come in with an offer in January why would he not leave a relegation struggle for the comfort of mid-table and probably more money in the bargain?

For me anyone who won't sign a new contract don't want to be here. Let him go, he's a bit similar to Cullen, perhaps not as good a passer or defensively imo, Cullen and Berge in the middle would be fine.

It's the injuries that kill you wmd. We need cover.
