Yes we drew away at Leeds but were fortunate to do so and BTA's goal should have been disallowed for handball. Not having a pop Boingy but these are facts.

Talking of facts Al thinks Grant's a lazy player. I'm very surprised you haven't pointed out that Grant isn't lazy now and wasn't lazy for us given your keen interest in Fotmob like running and recovery stats.

    Balance in all things .
One problem Furlong has is that he’s often behind the attacks feeding Wallace and interacting with him, plus great throw ins etc, if it breaks down however he’s then backtracking, he’s bound to come unstuck occasionally but generally I think he’s been excellent for us.

The only fly in this particular ointment being that Wallace wasn't even in the matchday squad against Leicester. Oops 🤭 .

Wasn’t talking about Leicester but generally. That’s still his role.

He hasn't been excellent for us though Boingy. Yes he's had good games, he's had some meh games too and he's also had some shocking games.

Excellent players tend to excell. On a regular basis. This is what makes them excellent. But then he wouldn't be playing for us if he were the new Ashley Cole.

You tend to go a little OTT in your descriptions of Darnell Furlong and his contributions to games. While I like your enthusiasm I'm just calling for a bit of balance.

Furlong is a bottom to mid championship player at best and Townsend is a league 1 player. You are correct Dan and these comments are heard from many travelling to see West Brom away. Asante is a gem at 300K but sadly he's not a consistent goal scorer and crosses/corners are wasted when there's no striker there to get a head on it so get why many say Asante is out of his depth.

Generally speaking you need a 30 plus goal scorer to get out of the championship and full backs who don't give quality attackers easy goals.

Yes it is about balance and on balance those 2 full backs which in your opinion are just not good enough form of this leagues 2nd best defence. How does that work?

Imo Furlong is good enough. Townsend worries me.

All about opinions but my opinion seems to match many who go to the games including Albionic. Furlong has good games and shockers too just like Dan pointed out.

Townsend is very poor and cost us in a number of games. To me he’s a liability just like Pieters.

2nd best defence - well it’s hugely helped with two fantastic players in Mowatt and Kipre all thanks to Carlos. Some are critical of Bartley and yes he’s slow but he’s been like a rock for me and Carlos rates him highly.

The other problem is the lack of a striker. Some have unfairly labelled Dike a cart horse but their opinions. For me Dike had been unlucky and was superb for Barnsley in the championship and decent for us in patches. I would rather Dike be on the end of one of our crosses/corners than Asante who can’t even head it/and too small. That said Asante a good lad considering a 300K spend.

Furlong does great for us. He’ll do 8 good things then make a mistake and then for some reason some on here throw their toys out the pram and have a fit. He does a lot in games and is a key player. I never mention Townsend much because there isn’t a lot to say. When furlong makes an important block, no comment, an important cross, nothing, a **** or header at goal, nothing, a goal line clearance, not a peep, but if he loses possession then he is mentioned. Very underrated player and very misjudged.

If somebody said Townsend is a premier player that’s their opinion and the same with any other player. Danny summed up Furling better than me - he has good games and he has shockers. That seems the main talking point in pubs before the games.

The best players by far are Mowatt and Kipre who have been consistently good - all thanks to Carlos.

The three teams who came down are streets ahead of us in terms of quality and more consistent. That said we are doing great thanks to Carlos with the limited resources available. I don’t knock Asante as he was playing for Salford but he’s never going to get the number of goals required or be a deadly striker. For 300K though he’s been a bargain!

Everyone should have an opinion but when many think the same - the majority are not usually wrong. Bartley gets stick but for me he’s been solid and twice the player of Ajayi.

I think when the majority all back slap to please one another they can be very wrong. Someone with a differing opinion can easily be shouted down. Unfortunately fickle fans are very much this way.
