Animal I’ve heard countless accounts from parents of promising young footballers who’ve been treated like absolute sh1te by sir Bobby
Yes it is a tough moment when your child is told he’s no longer required by bfc but the way he did this, from what I’ve heard is despicable
Maybe his halo has slipped a bit
I really hope he can do a great job but (only from what I’ve heard) he’s not the messiah people think

He most certainly isn't and I too have heard from one of our young players what he's like .

As a player he never gave less than his all here even when played out of position at times .

He was a good servant for us but that counts for nowt given he retired from playing 10 years ago .

There's no room for jobs based on sentiment in professional football .

His interview for the role of Director Of Football should ask what he can bring to the job and how he's going to move us forward on the field and not how many games he played for us over 10 years .

I'm far from convinced his record at The Academy is anything that qualifies him for the role .

As for following the popular opinion.
……. ‘people don't like to hear the truth and anyone who doesn't follow the popular opinion is considered a trouble maker’ .

So who follows the popular opinion on here ???
Is it me or is it you ???
I never said anything about sat staring at bread and water but most of your pro ownership posts are based on words and not actions and actions have and will always speak louder than words .

As far as popular opinion is concerned I simply form my own , if people agree with me then fine , if they don't then that's fine too .

I honestly dont recognise the club you are describing.

Firstly - why mention the owners are only interested in the bank account???
They have openly said that this season is what they consider their FIRST season.
Last season - as they describe it - was a matter of putting fires out regarding the finances of the club.
So this season is their first proper season - and you are judging on them on 1/2 of that season.
Is that what you are actually saying ???
    If it is it’s unbelievable.

You have heard what the directors said about player sales.
So why are you saying they did something completely different to what happened in practice ???

With regard to the directors ‘connection with the fans’.
Can you name me another club that has ‘fans forums’ ???
Can you name me another club that is inviting supporters to form their own committee ???
Firstly to respond to your comments , I certainly do watch the reds , at Oakwell every home game and on I follow every away match & being as you spat your dummy out a long while ago saying that you were not attending anymore then its possible we are watching two different clubs . To say that the present owners only actually taking the helm this season is laughable , the Crynes have been on board for a long while , Julie Ann has been here a fair while & the rest were certainly here last season, now apart from the Crynes who are genuine fans what actually are the rest doing here if not to try & make a fast buck ? To say there stewardship has only just begun begs the question who was in charge through the summer transfer fiasco ?, who sold the team captain on the last day of the transfer window ? So they attend fans forums and pay the sheep lip service , so what , talking Ben used to hold fans forums , there not something new , what puzzles me & puzzles other fans is what are they doing at our club ? why ? & what are there intentions ? , it has to be for financial gain , they are business people who invest money to make money , they are not a charity & they are not fans or benefactors & they clearly are out of depth in terms of running a football club , so you can believe what you like Nudger but I have news for you , the moon is not made out of cheese , there is no tooth fairy & the chances of us ever investing for the future under this current stewardship are something between zero & zilch .

Most if not all posters on here agree with your views about the club and directors.
I agree with some of it - but not all.
I especially liked your suggestion about recruiting a few windows in advance.

Always remember - it’s good to disagree.

OMG - he’s finally gone and done it.
    Wiped the slate clean.
    Look at the line up.
    Four - Four - Two

Or should that be - on paper it looks 442.

Dodgson coming in at left centre back and Styles left wing back presumably .

Other than bringing young Shepherd in which seems to suggest a lack of faith there it's probably the right decision .

How it works out in reality against Clarke - Harris and co we will found out in due course .
