To be honest, no.
I was really disappointed yesterday after watching the farewell video, and him wearing Swansea kit etc.
But I woke up today quite excited as to what the next chapter will be - who will be leading us, will the formation change etc. I think that watching Stall on Magpie Circle last night was quite refreshing. Charlie Slater was a big loss, but I think Stall would be an even greater loss.
I was depressed but now really interested to see who we'll get and will we strengthen the defence. Will the new manager have worked with players he wants to bring in January if the bros like their stats as with Baldwin. We've still got a good chance to go up in the playoffs this season.
Not overly concerned, we're on a bad run with a month of difficult fixtures to come and I wonder what the sentiments would've been if he'd stayed through that run and done poorly.
I really like(d) LW and appreciate all that he’s done for us (though I feel we did just as much for him)….but for some reason I don’t feel too bad about losing him, almost similar to how I felt about IB though I do acknowledge the massive differences between the two.
I know Durham can go over the top but I was also getting pretty concerned about Luke’s inability to sure us up at the back when it was clear what was going wrong. Far more complicated than that I know, but like Durham, I think maybe he has taken the chance whilst his stock is high….because it may not get much higher. Notts as a club in the other hand will continue to grow.
It’s not massively outrageous to think we could be playing Swansea next season….though LW wouldn’t be there in that case. Luke made a big thing about working for good owners, couldn’t have meant that much to him, going to work for those at Swansea, like he has gone against his own instincts, and words even.
I feel no ill will towards him at all but do feel we’ve fallen for his ‘sincerity’. I’ll follow his career closely I think.
The owners were there when LW was last there so he knows what he's getting into so on his head be it.
This was all planned weeks ago, probably not long after Swansea sacked their manager. It seems a little convenient that he leaves just when we have a small break in games.
Not suggesting any conspiracy at all but that scenario crossed my mind on Thursday.
I'm watching the Swansea/ Morecombe game, it very low level at the moment, must be strange for LW,gone from a place where he was highly thought of to a stadium with no magnificent Kop to his left, just empty seats, he must reflect on that.
