    League One

Josh Vickers in goal today for Derby County, in their 3-1 away win at Fleetwood Town.

Never got Josh' choice to join Derby unless it was money. He clearly stated he didn't want to remain at RUFC as a second choice keeper and wanted first team games.

How many games has he played for Derby this season? Come home lad, you'll be warmly welcomed.

It's been truly horrendous for Josh of late losing his beautiful Wife. I bet the lad's head is still all over the place

I don't think Leam will have seen anything of him as at the time he was Manager of Wigan. Thing is Scotty will have so, with the likelihood of Viktor potentially departing us, maybe Scotty can guide him towards him? I think Josh was, at the time with us, a very good shot stopper and although some may disagree with me, a better deliver of the ball upfield than Viktor.

Been reading this thread and nowhere does it say what do we think of Philips our current no 2? No one seems to know much about him could he step up? Just wondering as MT when he signed said he was a championship quality keeper and wanted someone in the building already when/if Viktor departed, well to be honest bases on MTs recruitment possibly with the exception of Tiehi and Nombe doesn’t fill me with confidence looking at his career he’s never been no 1 anywhere as far as I can see and his only appearance for us he didn’t cover himself in glory letting 6 in at Stoke in cup I would never judge him on one game but just wondered on others thoughts? My own is that we should be looking for a new no 1 and I assume that is what will happen

Sounds like Chris Wilder wants him at Sheff U . Possible summer move . Be good for us that . We keep him till end of season and we get a fee for him , plus he will be still in the championship guaranteed playing .

A move to Sheff Utd won't expand Viktor's career though if they drop back into the Championship. If the story of Everton looking to sign him are true, then that's where he needs to go. Not saying he'll get first team action with Pickford in the way but, he may well get the opportunity to shine in the Premiership should he be called on.

Brin sorry mate but I disagree Viktor is far too good to go to a Premier club and sit on his backside for a couple of seasons he’d be forgotten about I think a move to a club like Leeds would be better ok still a championship club but they may go up this year or if not he’d probably be first choice Meslier rumoured to be going and Leeds fans don’t rate Darlow and he’d get more exposure there and if he does well maybe another move to a bigger club eventually he’s only 24 and will only get better

No dis-credit to Sheffield United, but Viktor going to the Blades, is like frying pan into the fire.
Blades defence in the premier is like the Millers in the championship, we both will ship goals.
Been reading the Blades in for Leicester City keeper Danny Ward, who is out of favour at Leicester
City, with the player coming on loan, not sure if loan to buy deal in the pipeline.
