Barnsley right wing-back Kyran Lofthouse has been loaned out to League Two MK Dons for the remainder of the season.
He links back up with manager Mike Williamson who signed him on loan for National League club Gateshead earlier in the season.

The way I see it Cole can go in January and we get a fee for the lad , bear with me because I can see the logic behind a few posters comments on keeping him and hopefully firing us back to the championship .

My point is I'm playing along with this model and if indeed they do sell Cole then I expect us to sign a striker with better ability , younger and someone we can make money on in two years time which is the model the club want to go down .

In short I'm going along with this and I'm going to give our Director Of Football a shot at this window and the next one too .

Mind you I'll be holding the clubs feet to the fire should we let Cole leave for nowt and we are still in league one next season or we sign another lemon striker of which we seem to specialise in of late .

According to Tykes TV James Norwood is set to return to the club from Oldham Athletic .

Never wanted to leave from what I was told by one of our younger players .

Clue , the CEO is no longer at the club .

    I'll say no more .

I didn’t know Duff and Khaled - but I’ve met them.
Khaled I met on 3 separate occasions.

A HC and CEO are employed for the mutual benefit of both the club and themselves.
The feeling I got after talking to these two were that they were only here for the benefit of themselves.
I didn’t like either of them.

On the other hand I thought Dane Murphy was a nice fella

With respect Animal where do you get a striker with more ability who the club can get in with the fee they receive for Cole ?, bearing in mind that Cole is on for 25 goals this season which I believe would be the first one to do that since Brian Joicy & this said player would have no time to be developed & would have to hit the ground running instantly otherwise the chance of landing the £8 million prize can be forgotten amd if a player was available with the ability to do this then he would be very much in demand especially from teams further up the food chain. The way I see it is that if we accept a fee for the sake of it then any replacement would be either a Shaw , Watters or Dallas type punt or a premier /championship youngster who we will be baby sitting & developing for the loaning club , now that option might provide us with a more talented footballer but a talented footballer who would lack experience and the know how to get the goals what Cole would , we saw Tedic last season a £3 million player but not one who new how to do the business in division one . Its simple to me , we either gamble with a potential fee for Cole in attempt to try & get promoted or once again we settle for trying find a gem to eventually line the pockets of these owners but I for one do not trust the spreadsheet & we would be taking another step backwards with ambition being a thing of the past .

The way I see it Shad is that if indeed an offer comes in for Cole and it's a championship club or a bigger league one club and it's a big financial advantage to Cole then we may as well sell him because once the head is turned as we saw with Kitching at the beginning of the season then it's pointless holding on to him .

If the club doesn't receive an offer or it's well below the club's valuation then fair enough .

Wow, if Tykes Tv are saying it, then it must be a 1,000% true. 🤐
I always thought there was something wrong with the Norwood departure. To a lower league club (no offence to Oldham), and just two days before the start of the new season.
It reaks of Mr Khaledo does that , and I can well believe it. But whether he's coming back to us, I doubt it.

Yes there’s a few things at play here.

Much of it IMO depends on ‘probability’ - whether the directors think there is a realistic chance of promotion or not.
If they think there is then they will be fighting hard to keep certain players at the club.
Cole will certainly be one of those players.

Personally I don’t think we have much chance of promotion - even with a couple of additions I don’t think the team in its present state can be turned around.
Others think differently - which is fair enough.

The length of the players contract and whether they are willing to sign an extension will also come into play.
My guess is that these directors are not in a position yet where they can allow contracts to run down.
Although the Styles situation last summer seems to dispute that.
The club reportedly turning down offers on a player whose contract runs out soon - basically turning down bids as they were deemed to under value the player.
IMO - this shows a clear intent to move the club forward.

Then of course there’s the valuation of a player that wants to leave.
As with the Kitching sale - these directors will not give those players away even if the player is determined to leave.

Lots of moving parts there that have the potential to scuttle any potential deal.

    .
The timing of the deal also comes into it. Coventry were awash with money having just sold Gyokeres for many millions. Parekh himself said they had to agree to a phasing of payments much longer than usual in order to secure the deal for Kitching.
Parekh also said at that meeting that negotiations were taking place to extend the contracts of Cole, Styles, Williams and Cadden. Has there been any updates on progress ?

You seem to have the skill to get people at the club to open their hearts to you and tell you, a complete stranger, deeply confidential, personal things. Hecky was another example.
While the rest of us were believing that Duff was here for the long haul to build a project you must have known otherwise. You should have dropped us a hint of some kind.
