Providing they can sustain the cost of their "season tickets", as appeared to be stated at the last Supporters Forum, then the debt is immaterial. If they leave and no-one pays anything for the club then they've lost it. I don't see what the issue is unless you can dress it up to be something drastic.
No they cant but who said the debts are all with the owners ???

We are insolvent in a way or we were a few years ago (2022) accounts.

Lets hope they are here for a long time yet but I fear WHEN they decide to sell Langstaff it is going to cause a few fans to lose their heads.

Almost every club has owners pumping money in. They choose whether to put this in as shares (therefore not showing debt) or as loans (showing as debt). The latter can allow them to offset losses against other business interests they have. The risk arises if they get fed up and don't want to pump any more money in. Trew bought the club thinking he'd written off the Munto debts (then found more debts lurking), AH bought the club and I think Trew had done a bit the same. AH realised he was at risk of losing his Nottinghamshire Golf Club after taking his eye off of his profitable business Paragon which went down the drain. The Bros presumably merely paid off the HMRC and any other significant debts to acquire the club and most of the money they paid will be shown as Debt to them. None of this is unusual other than the Bros seem to be living within a sustainable amount of input and even less than budgeted according to Richard Montague. He said only recently we do NOT have to sell.

You are worrying about nothing new and for once we are with sensible owners not rushing out to make marquee signings or paying for sacked manager after sacked manager. If (when) they sell Langstaff it will be to acquire one or two or more signing to maintain the successful model and trajectory they have created.

Of course is something goes wrong with their (or their father's) businesses then all bets are off, but no owner is going to come in at this level and create success without significant financial input.

Sorry, I just don't buy the argument that more away fans reduces the chances of a Notts victory. I'm able to visit Meadow Lane later this month, and I'm hoping for loads of away fans in a big crowd, clean sheets and Notts wins.

What we need is for a big away following to galvanise the home support into making more noise, but our noise levels are always seemingly dictated by events on the pitch. I hate to say it, but we could learn something from our fiends (sic) across the river.

Now whether that is worth £80k ( be less than that because of seniors/juniors ) is another discussion. If we don’t think we have a realistic chance of a play off place then sell them as many as they want.
This could be because only the better/bigger clubs tend to have large followings, I firmly believe the Stags would have still won if there were only 2 men & a dog in the away stand. Unless we can find a way to segregate the JS we may as well fill it & take the wonga imo.

That's my feeling too, and more like just the 1 v Grimsby.

They are tough fixtures even when things are going well. Hopefully the players will rally and prove me/us wrong but I fear there will be a bit of shell-shock for a couple of weeks.

How many times have we heard Notts players and managers say how much it helps them to have a large and noisy away following? If it helps Notts then it helps everybody else. QED.
Segregation is the key. It is long time since I have been in the JS so I can’t remember the layout apart from it being relatively narrow underneath.
If for example, we were to build a brick wall underneath to permanently divide the stand such that there was sufficient capacity for away fans to have the minimum 10% (or slightly more) then we would have created a permanent away enclosure. A few extra turnstiles and or exit doors could be installed if necessary. The same measures might be required in the other half.
Segregation above ground would be by netting as it is now.

    1. No daft talk of giving up the Kop
    2. Increased home capacity - don’t forget that against Mansfield and others we have sold out of home seats. If we have ambitions to grow as a club we need more home seats permanently. Season tickets included.
    3. We help the team maintain home advantage by reducing the influence of away support whilst still allowing a significant following (as required by the rules) and helping to still generate a good atmosphere.

The Stockport game will be a good measure hopefully because they have been allocated 1976 tickets (approx 10% of ground capacity but probably about 15% of the match day crowd). Of course it is possible that Notts may yet give them more.
Let’s all see whether that feels about right.

Happy Friday to you too, obviously in a very cheery mood after the appointment of the new head coach. I think we’ll win one and draw one of the home games and anything we get from the one call is a bonus.
