The most successful long term organisations either have a great culture or a completely rubbish one - I would prefer we go down the former route.

Farke’s interviews are starting to grate with the nonsense he is begining to sometimes come out with.

On a lighter note - if you want a laugh, watch the Jesse Marsch interview with Simon Jordan - deluded does not begin to describe some of it.

    M8, I have worked with;

Ministry of Defence; Ministry of Justice, Cabinet Office, Benefits Agency, Surrey County council, Southampton City council, The Office of the Rail Regulator, Her (now His) Majestys Inspector of Railways, The Department for Transport. NONE are private businesses, unlike professional football clubs, therein lies the difference. I've worked for/with entrepreneurial start-ups, large multi-nationals, and all in between, all in the private sector. No successful private, profit-driven business can work like a bureaucratic government department, where command and control still lives, hence my comment regarding Herr Farke and his "attitude".

To add in the games he has played - he played twice in the soft chewy sweets cup and four times in the league

V Cardiff at Home - he came on when we were 2-1 down after 53 minutes and we grabbed a draw.

He started at Ipswich away when we won

He started v Brum away when we lost (a jumble of a team due to injuries)

His last game was an 89th minute sub v QPR at home when we won on 4 October - over 3 months ago.

Involved in 2 wins a draw and a loss so not too shabby as early in the season when we hadn’t found any real form.

He also presents a goal threat at corners.

Not sure what the lad did in October but that does seem an awful long time to be kept out of side and have no playing time.

You seem remarkably sane for having to deal with that many of the ruler's minions over the years!

The most autocratic outfit in the world is the CCP. Will be interesting to see what happens when the money runs out for them. They have a debt crises brewing larger than anything the world has ever seen. They may have to resort to welding people in their apts like they did during covid.

You are correct that, in general, no private company of any size can function in a top down management structure these days.

Secret being never to "go native" and always retain a semblance of sanity (however you define that). As for the future, who knows, don't sweat the small stuff.

With Cresswell seemingly out of Farkes plans, Cooper more than likely missing, no Ayling also, suddenly defence looks light on numbers, with both Byram & Firpo, kind of fit now, but regular faces down at the medical centre.
Ampadou can play at CB,but that changes the CM, what about Gruev, or whatever his name is, thought he could also play at CB.

Really mental that we have Cresswell and are playing midfielders at CB

    Definitely shades of MBs days
