    Rochdale grooming gangs.

The reason why these Pakistani grooming gangs were allowed to thrive in Rochdale is the political correct era that we are now subjected to. The police and the authorities were basically too scared to do anything about them for fear of being labelled as racist. They knew what was going on but did absolutely nothing about it. It’s about time we went back to core values of decency and disregarded these minority groups who spout their prejudiced views. As with the Post Office scandal, another disgraceful episode in our recent history.

    Very much agree!
Andy Burnham is dead right about actions needed to be taken against all those who failed in their duties to properly investigate and protect these vulnerable children and prosecute properly all those involved.

Whilst overall data on child grooming is shamefully sketchy, it does appear that such gangs however are not "overwhelming" of Pakistani or Asian descent as Cruella would dangerously have us believe. Regardless of the patriarchal culture of large swathes of Pakistani communities for example, there is no evidence to suggest that any ethnic group in the UK is more likely to commit such heinous crimes than any other. Nevertheless, those gangs operating in Rochdale, Rotherham and Telford clearly were overwhelmingly of Pakistani descent and fear of being seen as racist was undoubtedly a factor in the failures to investigate properly. "Protected" characteristics such as ***, age, skin colour or religion should be of no consequence when it comes to investigating crimes-as the old saying goes: "justice should be blind"
