I'd like to hear that Odoffin has been offered a new contract too, and for all any of us know, he might have been. It'd be naive to think that if it hasn't been made public it hasn't happened.

I think it is more naive to believe the club are doing it right regards contract renewals and haven't made numerous mistakes. I think someone on here said a number of clubs put new contracts in front of players around the midpoint and if they don't renew they sell whilst they can, perhaps taking an approach like that for some of our players might help.

I don't believe I said the club are doing everything right and haven't made mistakes. I'm merely saying neither me or you have any idea of what has happened with regards to contracts behind closed doors.

True, it's perfectly valid for you to post speculation and opinions on what you think and feel. Just speaking for myself here when I say I'm personally not going to criticise the club over scenarios I've invented and don't know to be true.

So why not speculate wildly that the management team might be aware that players worth a lot of money are offered contracts, and that those contracts might be as much as we can afford without jeapordising the club but that the players have a sense of their worth and can opt for better money and bigger clubs, so ultimately don't sign?

Or, to shake things up a bit, speculate this, and then speculate the complete opposite. And then back again. Why not? You've clearly got lots of time.
