Trump operates by demonising people - whether that be Hilary Clinton, immigrants, anyone who suggests that he lost the election in 2020 or anyone who chooses to disagree with him. On that he was and is completely wrong and he has to bear a large part of the responsibilty for the extreme polarisation of American politics that threatens to drive that country into increasingly irrational behaviour.
He sees himself as the supreme businessman who can close a deal. I'm not saying that is automatically a bad thing, but you have to bear in mind that Neville Chamberlain cut a deal with Hitler in 1938 and declared it a great success.
Running the most influential country in the word is a bit different to letting real estate. And in light of recent revelations about his business life, you have to ask if he is at the used car salesman end of the business spectrum.
