He was Moniz mark 2. He had no idea when it came to addressing the defensive problems. He was convinced that playing square pegs in round holes was the answer to his master plan. If he remained at the club next season, we would have been in a relegation battle. The players, like Jones, Macca, Crowley and Bostock, who were all mainly responsible for our decent home form would have all jumped ship, and he would have been absolutely clueless as to what to do without them..

Thats an easy one. If we dont go up this year its more than likely that some of our fantastic forwards will probably not be here.. On the defensive side, we struggled against some the Dog and Duck teams in the NL. Those same frailties have been carried forward into this season, again, with no real effort to resolve them.. I find that incredible....

Agreed. I don't get this 'love you when you're here, hate you when you go' thinking. Anyone who gives 100% in their time at Meadow Lane will always get a positive reception from me if they return as opponents.

I am still left with a little sour taste in my mouth though, in that he went mid-season & January transfer window. Probably the most disruptive time to leave. But if he wanted that particular job I suppose he had little option.

I think the brothers must feel rather let down.

Really? Only Boreham Wood conceded less goals than we did in the promotion season.

They conceded 2 less than us, but we scored 65 more than them!!!

It was the manner in which we conceded some of the goals that was the problem... And was still the problem this season...

I think they'll be quite pleased with themselves. Buy low sell high. That's their model isn't it? From the fans forum with the gate receipts better than budgeted they will be looking how best to spend it. That's good, isn't it?

What we don't know is how hard nosed they will be if a head coach isn't meeting his targets; I suspect that rather than throw a hissy fit they will try and sort out what the issues are first and then as a last resort pull the plug. Fortunately, other than not retaining Ardley, we've yet to face that situation.
