    Oot for a wee dander

    Today.

    The church on baldovan Rd had a sign outside "food bank open"......I wonder who this is for

    Surrounded by houses from about £180 k to half a mill plus.

    They used call Balgillo ‘spam valley’ because that is all the home owners could afford after paying their mortgage.
    Perhaps ‘spam valley’ has moved to the area around Baldovan Road.
    Alternatively it could be because it is close to the Kirkton housing scheme.

    Think kirkton has 2 and st marys 1 and Ardler 1.

    In the past families used to help out each other but that does not now appear to be the case.
