    Neil Warnock

Appointed Head Coach at Aberdeen for remainder of season.

At 76 didn't see that one coming.

One helluva journey from his West Country farm.

South West Airlines flies six times a week Plymouth to Glasgow, then onto Aberdeen.

I think he did an interview not long back saying he always wanted to try the Scottish leagues. Like you say though, at his age I’m not sure it would be expected now.

That season we went down from the championship under Schopp and Asbaghi, we should’ve got Warnock in. Might not have been pretty but we’d have certainly made more of a fist of it.

Can only guess here - Conway was desperate to dominate proceedings to get some players in the shop window.
Warnock being told what to do ???
    Can’t see that.
    And probably Conway couldn’t either.
Conway took the wheel and the risk of changing the game strategy to a possession tippy tappy style.
    Result - relegation.

    I’ll say no more.

You’re probably right. Warnock would’ve never worked under those charlatans.

I’ll go back to forgetting that season existed now as it was awful to watch.

I think many of our supporters try to forget the Conway Season.

But IMO it’s pivotal in trying to understand what went off before that season - and the consequences of that season on where we are now.
The new owners having to pick themselves up out of the dust and brush themselves down.

With regards to the Conway Season.
It didn’t just appear out of the blue.
There must have been a build up to it - how factions on the board started drifting apart.
How many seasons was that going on ???
Theres a story to be told there - whether the Barnsley supporters will ever hear that story is another matter.

Things like this need to be asked when Neerav or JAQ are being interviewed.
If one person is likely to reveal it then that person is likely to be JAQ.
I’d love to hear what happened - as obviously what happens in the boardroom doesn’t just stay in the boardroom - we see the effects of it directly on the field.

Don't forget JAQ and her husband are owners of one of the New York Hedge Funds forming The Investor Group that made Conway their representative at Barnsley FC. They ditched Conway after the relegation season when it became clear the promised profits for the Investor Group were not going to happen.

Yes JAQ has a story to tell.

Don’t forget - Patrick Cryne sold the club to Lee/Conway.

So not just JAQ that was duped.
Also Patrick and many supporters were also duped - including myself.
So why persistently pick on JAQ - FGS ???

Is it because she’s a woman and outspoken???

Nice try on playing the gender card. You forgot the bit about picking on her because she is Chinese-Australian.

I have responded about JAQ because she was the subject of your final paragraph in the preceding post---as simple as that.

Patrick sold the club to a Consortium. Conway, who held less than 7% of the shares became the active Co Chairman because he was the representative of The Investor Group, who held 20% of the shares of the Consortium
The more interesting read will be the EFL Findings about who really controlled the club compared to what was reported to the EFL.
