Yep, some slump that, 3 0, 5 0, and 2 4
W 2 D 0 L 1 , 10 F 4 A Pts 6. Could do with one of them slumps now. 😄

A slump? He won 2 out of 3 games over the festive period, keeping 2 clean sheets. Losing his last game, when I suspect he knew he would be off.
I still find it ironic that a lot of posters on here would have taken a mid table finish before a ball was kicked and those same posters appear to be saying that LW somehow under achieved.
LW like any manager had flaws.. clearly. However, he had some real strengths that many of us admired.

That has a direct correlation to one of our best players being out injured. When you have a threadbare squad an injury or 2 to key players was always going to be detrimental.
Clubs like Stockport, Mansfield and Wrexham have also had key injuries but they have damn good squads, which has meant they can absorb those injuries. We don’t. Palmer is irreplaceable.
With the 10th best budget in the division LW had us punching above where in theory we should be.
Throughout this thread some have said LW subs weakened the side… that’s because the squad players are significantly weaker than our best 11. That is still the case.
Don't care really what the imaginary slump is down to, we are still in an imaginary slump. Don't you think the manager (any manager, not just LW) should be able to adjust to squad issues that impact on results (it is a results based game after all) but I did offer a reason for this imaginary slump when I said "(or got no support from the Bros during the summer window?)."
His obvious weakness was that we conceded too many goals.
His obvious strength was that we scored too many goals!
It's a bit greedy to expect the best of both worlds, although Luke Williams actually gave it us last season. It was obviously going to be harder a level above, but I would much rather see a 4-3 win than a 1-0 win. Attendances suggest I'm not alone.
Smiffy, I realise that his success was at the lowest level we've ever been, but it was still an unprecedented SUCCESS. I loved every minute of it, it rates up there with any of my 53 seasons as a Notts fan. I can promise that I celebrated Jodi Jones scoring the winner against Boreham Wood in the playoff semi and Cedwyn's penalty at Wembely with exactly the same passion that I celebrated Les Bradd's 89th minute goal at the Sh!tty ground and Ian Scanlon's header at Elland Road. Never once did I think "Hmm, it's good but remember we're only in the National league". The day I think like that will be the time to call it a day.
Look we are 7th we still have a great chance of the plsy offs.LW has gone SM is here so lets support him.Incidentally we have the 5 teams around us at home and there lies our fate.
